While we’re on the topic of bad taste, here’s the worst baby cake I’ve ever seen:
What were they thinking?
“Oh look”, the baby’s head is buried in a cake. How cute!” NOT!!
Being in the baby gifts and gift industry, we try and keep our fingers on the pulse of new gift ideas and trends. But sometimes we see something and just think - “why?”.
Here’s an example.

Why would anyone need such a creation? I It’s very impressive, but surely a child could make do with a less realistic version. There was recently a case of a policeman desperately smashing a window to break into a car left in the sun, only to find out he had saved a doll. With this doll, I can see that happening a LOT.
And what if there is a real child in danger at some point and someone assumes it;s a doll? Anyway, this one belongs to be filed somewhere between unnecessary and creepy.

Parents with babies and toddlers spend plenty of time making aeroplane or train noises as they try and get their littlies to eat. This is a fantastic idea to encourage kids to use utensils. The set is composed of a “Fork Lift” Fork, “Bulldozer” Pusher and the “Front Loader” Spoon. No surprise this was a product dreamed up by parents of three!

When our son was a newborn he slept in a bassinet at the end of our bed. When he woke in the night I would often stick my foot out of bed and gently rock him back to sleep.
The Lullabub may have saved my leg a lot of work.
Basically a cot rocking device, the lullabub “will gently create motion automatically in a harmonic rhythm to naturally soothe and settle babies to sleep”. With four motion simulations - mother’s womb, mother’s heartbeat, drive in the car and boat on the water, it sounds pretty comprehensive!

I came across this product this morning and thought it was a great little gimmick/idea.
Anyone with young kids has heard them complain that their seat is hot a Summer day. Sometimes the
buckles and belts can be burning hot if the car has been parked in the sun.
The Seat Chiller
If you have a seat chiller, simply place the cooled the chiller (from the freezer) onto the seat and leave for a few minutes to cool down the seat and buckles. Remove the chiller, strap in your child and away you go.
It obviously has limitations, but it could be a handy device to keep your kids and (tempers) cool this summer.
